Abstract

Jalan Solo - Purwodadi is a road with the status of a collector road using a two-lane two-way traffic system that connects the cities of Surakarta and Purwodadi, Grobogan Regency. The problems on the Solo – Purwodadi road are caused by the high traffic volume which is dominated by heavy vehicles and two-wheeled vehicles (motorcycles), therefore it is necessary to analyze the relationship between volume, speed and traffic density on the Solo - Purwodadi road. The data used in this study are primary & secondary data from the research results, then analyzed using three methods, namely the Greenshield, Greenberg and Underwood methods. The results showed that the volume of vehicles on the Solo – Purwodadi road was quite dense, the results from the calculation of the observational data showed that the road capacity was 2300.471 smp/hour. Analysis of traffic relations on Jalan Solo - Purwodadi based on the three models obtained the closest relationship between speed and density using the Greenberg model with model Vs = 7.416 ln (9465.99/D). The highest volume was obtained using the Greenberg model of 25.826,68 smp/hour. With a value of r2 = 0.986, it means that the suitability of the model is 98.60% with a level of confidence or confidence in describing the relationship between speed and density. The relationship between volume and velocity is a logarithmic function. The relationship between volume and density is also a logarithmic function.
