Penggunaan Topsis Dalam Menentukan Kepala Bagian Di Universitas Tunas Pembangunan Surakarta

Abstract

Tunas Pembangunan University (UTP) is one of the oldest and quite large universities in the city of
Surakarta with four faculties and 12 study programs. By having more than 100 staff and more than 125 lecturer, in
determining the head of the division, it is something that must be done with careful consideration so that lecturer
and staff who have the position of head of division can work with great responsibility. The research was conducted
using the interview method and observation, as well as using the TOPSIS method as a decision support method
in determining the head of the division. In the use of TOPSIS, there are several criteria in the calculation including
the assessment of the leadership, employee status, recent education, and the tenure of the prospective head of
department. Calculations using the TOPSIS method produce ideal calculations according to the criteria and
weights that have been determined, so that the leadership of the University can determine lecturer and staff who
are truly competent in occupying the position of head of the department at Tunas Pembangunan University.
