Abstract

Floorball is a relatively new team sport in Indonesia and does not yet have adequate skill test instruments, especially passing which are very important in game strategy. This study aims to develop a valid, reliable, and practical test instrument to measure the passing skills of floorball players, especially in Kediri City. The method used is Research and Development (R&D), starting from identification of needs, product design, expert validation, trials, to product revision. The research sample was 15 floorball athletes selected using purposive sampling. Trials were conducted in three sessions for each test and analyzed using Product Moment for validity and Cronbach's Alpha for reliability. The results of the validity test showed 0.936, meaning that the passing instrument was above the r-table value (0.532), which means it is valid. While the reliability results show a value of 0.829 for passing which means it meets the reliability criteria. The discussion of the research results was reinforced by coach interviews which provided positive feedback on the clarity, ease of use, and benefits of this instrument. In conclusion, the passing test instruments developed are declared feasible, valid, and reliable to be used as measuring instruments and training tools in the floorball coaching environment, and have the potential to be further developed in the form of performance evaluation-based technology.
