Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the world and Indonesia in particular has had an impact on various sectors, including the world of education, sports and health. The lifestyle and activities of the community have changed drastically because there are restrictions on activities that have an impact on physical health and fitness, especially alumni of the Physical Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Based on these problems, it is necessary to conduct socialization and measurement of physical education alumni in 2022. The purpose of this activity is to socialize how important it is to maintain physical fitness and carry out physical fitness tests continuously. The method used in this activity is the method of discussion groups and practice measurement tests. The material provided includes the importance of maintaining physical fitness and physical fitness measurement tests. This socialization was held at the FKIP UTP Surakarta campus and was attended by 50 alumni of Physical Education, FKIP UTP. Based on the data that has been obtained from the distribution of questionnaires, then processed and analyzed with the Guttman scale, it was found that initially only 37% of alumni knew how important it was to maintain physical fitness, but after being given socialization and technical measurements, the measurement increased to 72%. In addition to socialization, they also conducted a physical fitness test (VO2Max) which showed that the average alumni aged 30-35 years with a score of 29.6 were included in the poor category.
