PENGEMBANGAN KOMPETENSI PEDAGOGIK MAHASISWA CALON GURU MELALUI PROGRAM STUDENTS INTERNSHIP THAILAND-INDONESIA DI PHANOIWITTAYAKOM SCHOOL LOEI THAILAND

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan mengembangkan kompetensi pedagogik, profesional, sosial, dan kepribadian mahasiswa calon guru bahasa Inggris melalui pengalaman internship di lingkungan multikultural. Program Students Internship Thailand–Indonesia Batch 7 merupakan kolaborasi antara Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang dan Association of Education Culture International (AECI) yang dilaksanakan di Phanoiwittayakom School, Loei, Thailand, pada 2 Juni–26 September 2025. Program ini difokuskan pada peningkatan kemampuan pedagogik melalui praktik mengajar bahasa Inggris, penguatan komunikasi lintas budaya, serta perluasan jejaring pendidikan antara Indonesia dan Thailand. Pelaksanaan kegiatan mencakup pengajaran di enam tingkat kelas (Grade 7–12), partisipasi dalam kegiatan budaya dan sekolah, serta pengembangan profesional melalui workshop dan seminar. Selama program berlangsung, mahasiswa berhasil melaksanakan 248 sesi pengajaran, menyusun 52 rencana pembelajaran, mengikuti 5 program pengembangan profesional, berpartisipasi dalam 15 kegiatan budaya, dan terlibat dalam 10 kegiatan kemasyarakatan. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik, sosial, dan kultural mahasiswa. Melalui pengalaman langsung di konteks pendidikan internasional, mahasiswa memperoleh wawasan global dan kesadaran lintas budaya yang esensial bagi calon guru abad ke-21.
