EFEKTIVITAS TEKNIK SELF INSTRUCTION DALAM MENURUNKAN STRESS AKADEMIK SISWA
Abstract
The phenomenon of academic stress experienced by students continues to grow every year, especially in Indonesia. Various kinds of problems that exist require to be able to solve problems quickly and precisely. Someone who is able to solve it is certainly not a problem, it will be different if someone feels uncomfortable with the problem. Problems that keep coming without a solution will make a person experience stress. The goal to be achieved by the researcher is to determine the effectiveness of using self-instruction techniques in reducing academic stress for students of SMK Utama Bakti Palembang. The type of research used in this research is quantitative pre-experimental designs using One group Pretest-Posttest Designs. The population in this study were 35 students with a sample of 7 students of class XI computer and network engineering. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire. This study focuses on the effectiveness of group counseling using self-instruction techniques in reducing academic stress for students of SMK Utama Bakti Palembang. The results of data analysis can be seen that the average pre-test results are 153.5 and the average post-test results are 105.8. Obtained Zcount = -2.371 with a Ztable value of 1.645. The results obtained showed a decrease in the average value after the posttest. Thus it can be stated that group counseling using self-instruction techniques is effective in reducing academic stress.References
